As the weather starts to get warmer, we're gearing up for event season for the Hampton Roads area. Just about every single weekend there will be dozens of things to do in the entire surrounding areas. This weekend we've got some pretty cool things to check out:

- 42nd Annual Oyster Roast & Craft Beer Festival: It will be hosted at the Virginia Beach Convention Center from 1-5. This fundraiser that is held every year to help raise money for the Virginia Beach Volunteer & Rescue Squad. There will be raw, roasted, and fried oysters along with other great food vendors, local craft beer, live music, casino tables, a silent auction and raffles, children's activities, local artisans, and more. Tickets for this event are $55 for adults, $15 for children 6-16, and free for 5 and under. You can find tickets online and through the Facebook event page for it.

- 8th Annual Hampton Roads Tattoo Festival: Held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There will be over 250 vendors there tattooing and selling artwork, oddities, novelties, clothing, etc. Food and alcohol will be served for your convenience and there's a huge list of sideshows, contests, musicians, and artists sure to keep you interested throughout the entire weekend. You don't have to have or want tattoos to find this event entertaining! Tickets are only available at the door and you can purchase a day or a weekend pass. You can find more information on their website.

- Yoga On Tap: Want something a little more low-key? A weekly Sunday event that is held at St. George Brewery combines 2 great things into one: beer and yoga. It begins at 9:30 and is an hour long. Tickets are $10 for the class and a pint of beer or $25 for three classes (beer not included). The brewery is also open at that time so if your friends or spouse wanted to skip yoga, they can pass the time with beer.

These are just a few of the options you have available to you this weekend. There are various others I found like a play at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach Town Center, exhibits at the local museums, famers markets at various locations, concerts, and much much more. All of this information is easily found on many websites; just simply use any search engine to access them!
